New ICOM LAC Executive Board 2025–2028 elected in Dubai Conference, Noticia
The ICOM Regional Alliance for Latin America and the Caribbean (ICOM LAC) presents its new Executive Board for the 2025–2028 term, elected in November 2025 during the Assembly of the Regional Alliance held in the framework of the ICOM General Conference Dubai 2025.
The new Board is composed of seven members from different countries in the region, who bring extensive experience in museology, cultural management, research and university teaching. Its mission will be to continue and strengthen the presence, cooperation and leadership of Latin America and the Caribbean within the International Council of Museums (ICOM) over the next three years.

Board Member: Melissa Campos (ICOM El Salvador)
Board Member: Hugo Calle Forrest (ICOM Ecuador)
The election of this Executive Board reflects the region’s commitment to the professionalisation of the museum sector, territorial and thematic diversity, and the multilateral collaboration that characterises ICOM. Each of its members contributes a solid institutional and academic background, as well as a strategic vision for strengthening museums in Latin America and the Caribbean.
With this new Board, ICOM LAC begins a new cycle of collaborative work aimed at developing projects and networks that enhance the role of museums across all countries of the region.
